All-New FreshBooks Product Videos

To showcase the all-new FreshBooks’ powerful features, the visual design team at FreshBooks made videos to highlight the product’s main features, their benefits and their ease of use. These videos are used in the How It Works section of the website.

I was the Visual Design Lead on this project. In order to prepare for the creation of these videos, I conducted interviews with the UX designers that created each feature. I wanted to know the backstory and needs that drove the features to be added and any user testing feedback that might prove insightful. From those insights I created a script with my copywriter partner then flushed out frame-by-frame storyboards. I had our in-house illustrator help me to bring a little more FreshBooks feel to the storyboards before handing off the files to Secret Powers to complete the animation. I also flew down to Fort Worth, Texas to oversee some of the filming.
